Reading
How to open files, adjust the reader, and export. Overview: Overview.
Open documents
- File → Open… (or the toolbar) to open a
.mdfile - Open Recent for recently opened paths
- Drag and drop Markdown files onto the window
- Multiple tabs: switch, close, and optionally restore open tabs on launch (Settings)
Window size, sidebar, and scroll position are remembered per document when a path is known.
Contents sidebar
Toggle the contents pane to browse:
- TOC — headings from the current file
- Thumbnails — page-style overview when available
You can collapse TOC sub-levels and resize the sidebar width.
Appearance
From the toolbar or Settings:

Export
Desktop Export menu:
- PDF… / Word… — template-based export (Typst + Pandoc; set paths in Settings if needed)
- HTML… / Markdown… — lighter exports
Browser / web preview mode uses print or lightweight downloads instead of full desktop export.
Settings worth knowing
- Restore open tabs on launch
- Auto-check / auto-download updates
- Export template choice and Typst / Pandoc binary paths (Auto = PATH, then app-bundled fallback)
